"It's Too Expensive" and Other Classics
Objections aren't rejections — they're questions in disguise. When someone pushes back, they're usually just looking for reassurance or more information. Here's how to handle the most common ones.
💰 "It's too expensive"
This is the #1 objection. Here's how to reframe it:
Your response:
"I totally get that. But here's some context: Most web agencies charge $5,000-$15,000 for what NWG does for $499-$1,000. And the $89/month plan includes weekly SEO content that would cost $300-500/month elsewhere. When you add it all up, it's actually a fraction of what you'd pay anywhere else for the same quality."
The key: Don't defend the price — reframe the comparison.
🖥️ "I can do it myself on Wix"
Your response:
"You definitely could! But quick question: Do you have time to learn web design, write SEO content every week, and keep everything updated? Plus, Wix sites tend to be slower and don't rank as well on Google. With NWG, you get a custom site that actually performs, and Joe handles all the ongoing stuff. Your time is probably better spent running your business."
The key: Make it about their TIME and RESULTS, not just features.
🌐 "I already have a website"
Your response:
"Nice! How's it working for you? Are you getting leads from it? Ranking on Google? Loading fast on mobile?"
Then listen. If they express ANY frustration, that's your opening:
"Yeah, that's pretty common. A lot of businesses are sitting on websites that aren't really doing anything for them. Might be worth having Joe take a look — he does free consultations to see if there's room for improvement."
🤔 "I need to think about it"
Your response:
"Totally! No pressure at all. Want me to have Joe send you some info so you can review when you're ready? Or I can just give you his contact and you can reach out whenever."
The key: Don't push. Plant the seed and let it grow. Some of the best referrals come back months later.
🤷 "I don't need a website"
This is usually not true, but don't argue.
Your response:
"Fair enough! Just so you know, if that ever changes, I know a good guy. Most of his clients are people who realized they were losing business to competitors who showed up on Google first."
The key: Plant the seed, don't push. Some people need to feel the pain before they act.
🎣 "What's the catch?"
People are suspicious because they've been burned before.
Your response:
"No catch. No contracts — you can cancel anytime. You own your code and everything else. Joe just keeps costs low by using smart tools and staying focused on small businesses. He's not trying to be a big agency; he just wants to help local businesses succeed online."
The key: Address the trust issue directly. Ownership + no contracts usually seals it.
👨👩👧 "My nephew/friend can do it"
Your response:
"Hey, if you've got someone you trust, go for it! Just know that if it doesn't work out, Joe's always an option. He picks up a lot of projects from businesses who tried the DIY or friend-of-a-friend route first."
The key: Don't compete. Let them try their way. Many come back when it doesn't work out.
⏰ "I don't have time to deal with this"
Your response:
"That's actually why NWG is perfect for busy business owners. Joe handles everything. You don't need to be tech-savvy or manage anything. Just a few initial conversations, give him your content, and he does the rest. The whole point is to take this off your plate."
🔮 The Magic Phrase
When you don't know how to respond to an objection, this works every time:
"That's a great question. Let me connect you with Joe directly — he can explain it way better than I can."
Seriously. You don't have to be an expert. Your job is to make the connection. Let Joe close the deal.
