Free 3D Tint & PPF Simulator Now Live โ Embed-Ready, No Signup
Houston-based Neighborhood Website Guy LLC has launched a free interactive 3D Tint & PPF Simulator at neighborhoodwebsiteguy.com/tools/tint-simulator. The tool lets anyone visualize window tint darkness (VLT), tint colors, paint color, and paint-protection-film (PPF) coverage on a real, fully detailed BMW M4 โ directly in the browser, no app or download required.
Built for Tint & PPF Shops, Free for Everyone
Window-tint and PPF customers usually have to imagine what 35% VLT looks like on their car or guess where Full Body PPF coverage starts and ends. The simulator removes the guesswork: drag the VLT slider from 5% (limo) up to 70% (clear), pick a paint color from seven presets or a custom hex, toggle PPF coverage by zone (Body, Front Bumper, Doors, Trim, or Full Body), and switch the finish between Gloss, Satin, and Matte โ every change updates the 3D model in real time.
What''s Included โ All Free, All Browser-Based
- Realistic 3D BMW M4 model with separate body panels, trim, wheels, brake calipers, and full interior
- VLT slider 5โ70% with perceptually-tuned curves so 25โ35% looks like real-world tint, not solid black
- 4 tint colors: Charcoal, Carbon Black, Ceramic Blue, Mirrored
- Paint color picker with 7 brand presets (including NWG Tan) plus a custom hex picker
- PPF coverage toggles with a blue indicator overlay (since real PPF is invisible) and Gloss / Satin / Matte finish picker
- Camera presets for Tint Focus, PPF Focus, Auto-Rotate, and Reset
- Mobile responsive โ collapsible cards on desktop, draggable bottom drawer on mobile
- Embed anywhere โ click the Embed button to copy a one-line iframe snippet that drops straight into any tint shop, detailer, or auto-spa website
Built on Real 3D, Not Stock Photos
The simulator runs on a real WebGL2 scene with HDR studio lighting and ACES tone mapping โ the same rendering pipeline used by high-end car configurators from Tesla and Porsche. Every panel of the BMW M4 is a separate mesh, so PPF coverage actually highlights the right area of the car instead of a generic overlay.
Why We Built It
"We''re a custom-software-and-website shop for small businesses, and a lot of our work is for auto-detail and tint shops in Houston," said Joseph Vu, founder of Neighborhood Website Guy. "Their customers walk in not really knowing what 35% tint looks like, or whether they want Full Body PPF or just the front. A 3D configurator solves that conversation in 30 seconds. Charging $200/month for a tool that costs us almost nothing to run isn''t the brand we want โ so we made it free, and made it embeddable so any shop can drop it on their own site."
Try It or Embed It
The simulator is live now at /tools/tint-simulator. To embed it on your own site, click the Embed button in the bottom-right corner โ you''ll get an iframe snippet you can paste into any web page, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, or WordPress block.
